Britta was the only member of the study group who hadn’t attended Annie’s dinner party. Once she’d started on about some new wave feminism nonsense Annie had tuned her out, choosing to focus on the intricacies of her menu rather than Britta’s latest soap box speech which served as her ticket out of the dinner party. It wasn’t the first time Annie had neglected to pay Britta’s “causes” any mind and she doubted it would be the last.

Despite the fact that everyone had to carefully navigate themselves throughout the apartment because of Troy and Abed’s domino course that took up two thirds of the apartment floor the evening was quite a success. The food and conversation were great and Pierce even told a handful of appropriate jokes - though his typical less than politically correct jokes were sprinkled in the mix. All in all there hadn’t been anything wrong with the dinner party.

At the end of the night Jeff and Annie were left alone in the living room when Shirley walked Pierce to his car, mumbling to herself for the strength not to abandon him halfway down the stairwell and Troy and Abed retreated to watch the latest episode of Inspector Spacetime. Annie suggested that they get a picture to send to Britta to prove that the party had been a success. Jeff agreed, readying his phone for the occasion.

And as they shuffled to stand next to each other someones foot hit the end of the domino course, sending each and every domino tumbling down. Jeff snapped the picture without missing a beat, catching the smile he believed Seacrest would envy and Annie’s semi-drunken shock at the scene below her.

“Well I guess Britta made it after all,” was all that Jeff had to say as the final dominoes fell at the end of the apartment. Troy and Abed came rushing from their room, their eyes wide in shock. Troy squeaked, pointing at the mess of dominoes beneath him. Jeff rolled his eyes, squeezing Annie on the shoulder before leaving the apartment.
